Product Care Guide
Louis Sanka products are crafted with 304 stainless steel as the core material, complemented by fine wood, stone, crystal, leather, and ceramics. To ensure the durability, aesthetics, and long-term use of your products, please follow these guidelines tailored to the characteristics of our materials.
Note: Please avoid using the product for purposes beyond its design scope (e.g., using decorative art pieces as load-bearing tools) to prevent damage.
I. Usage Guidelines
304 Stainless Steel (Core Material)
304 stainless steel is corrosion-resistant, rust-proof, and food-safe. It is the signature material for our tableware, fruit bowls, and decorative pieces.
- Tableware: Safe for hot and cold food. Suitable for microwave ovens (avoid empty heating for over 1 minute) and dishwashers (use normal mode, avoid long-term high-temperature drying).
- Decorative Pieces: Avoid direct contact with sharp objects to prevent scratches; do not place heavy objects on thin stainless steel parts to avoid deformation.
- Storage Products: Do not store strong corrosive substances (concentrated acid, alkali, bleach) for long periods. If contacted, rinse immediately.
Auxiliary Materials
- Wood (Bases & Handles): Avoid long-term water immersion or high-temperature exposure. Not suitable for dishwashers or microwave ovens.
- Stone: Avoid collision with hard objects to prevent chipping. Do not use strong acidic detergents which may corrode the surface.
- Crystal: Avoid long-term direct sunlight to prevent yellowing. Pour water gently when using crystal vases to avoid impact.
- Leather: Avoid contact with water, oil, or sharp objects. Do not expose to high heat, which may cause cracking or hardening.
- Ceramic: Avoid sudden temperature changes (thermal shock) to prevent cracking. Handle with care.
II. Maintenance Guidelines
Daily Cleaning
- 304 Stainless Steel: Rinse with clean water and wipe dry with a soft cotton cloth to avoid water stains. Do not use steel wool or abrasive cleaners.
- Wood: Wipe with a slightly damp cloth. Apply food-grade wood oil once every 1-2 months to maintain luster.
- Stone: Daily wipe with a dry cloth. Avoid acidic or alkaline cleaners (e.g., vinegar or baking soda).
- Crystal: Rinse with warm water and neutral detergent. For cloudy surfaces, soak in warm salt water for 10 minutes.
- Leather: Use professional leather cleaner only. Apply a small amount of leather care oil to keep it supple.
- Ceramic: Use a soft sponge with neutral detergent. Avoid abrasive pads to protect the glaze.
Long-Term Storage
Clean and dry all products thoroughly before storage to avoid moisture accumulation.
- Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place away from direct sunlight and heating sources.
- Wrap crystal and ceramic products in bubble wrap or soft cloth to avoid collision.
III. Common Troubleshooting
- Fingerprints on Stainless Steel: Wipe with a soft cloth dipped in a little alcohol.
- Wood Cracking: Avoid water and apply wood oil regularly.
- Crystal Cloudiness: Soak in warm water with salt or lemon juice for 15 minutes.
- Ceramic Scratches: For minor scratches, gently wipe with a little toothpaste.
